Photo of the Year 2009: naval battle

Shooting data: Nikon D300,Nikkor 70-200 F2.8,1/30sec,F22,iso200,tripod.

One afternoon before a month ago I decided to go for a walk to a mountain over the city of Athens.When I arived at the mountains top I saw those ships gathered all together under the stormy sky and the first thing I thought was that it was like a naval battle

the first thing i thought of when i looked at this photo was "pearl harbour", so yes it reminds me of a naval battle too!

Wow great shot! When you said athens and ships the first thing i thought was the 300 and the real battle there was at sea great shot! emotion and atmosphere is great.
