Great moment you captured, Jan! A very interesting photo. My only nit would be to crop a little from the top to remove the sliver of light in the upper right corner. That's a very minor thing, and doesn't detract from an exceptional picture. Congrats!

also a small amount of space under the lioness chin would be better also but i guess we can't ask for everything

This is one absolutely beautiful photo. The timing is perfect and it's just a wonderful scene. Now I hate giving pointers on photos like this, because you've already done such a brilliant job... only thing i'd wish for is the lioness being a teeny tiny bit sharper, but don't let this take away from the incredible image you already have.
