Formica rufa with prey.

Hi all!

This is a shot from the past spring, on one of the first warm days when the ants started to become more active here in Sweden.
Not sure what the prey is, so any help in that regard would be greatly appreciated :) Could it be a mirid species?

Have a great weekend! Many thanks for looking :)

hi william, excellent shot!
your flash use is looking ideal here, good composition too.
detail looks great.
but it's the predator with prey moment you have captured that makes this work so well!
great work buddy!
P.S love the imaginative title :D

Hi Nickon, Trevor, Paul and Steve! Thank you very much for your comments :D

Paul - I think things are a bit slow at the moment. I guess people are a bit busy this time of the year? I noticed there were unusually few comments on many of the latest image posts, although there were many great photos to enjoy.

Steve - Glad you enjoyed the title :D

Cheers!!!!

William

Hi William,

A great light, sounds to be natural despite the 2 flashs
