Hi all.

The final image in this series. While not completely covering the spider a lot more dof here, three shots manually stacked in PS. The petals were getting a bit messy so I also retouched one of the lower ones - cloning away pollen and blurring it slightly. It had too much definition to fit among all the other oof for my tastes.

Many thanks for looking!

A great composition again William. The light and colour makes this set very appealing, although of course its the subject matter that really makes the images. I understand your choices in de-emphasizing some detail as it's a good idea when it doesn't add to the main subject. When I checked my image files I've actually got a lot of shots of this little fly, although I'm not sure of the actual species so I'll have to check up on it.

Yes, these flies seem very common Stephen so I'd would almost have surprised me if you didn't had these among your photo's. You have been most helpful already, many thanks!!!!

Thank you very much Stephen and Claudio for the comments and it's always very much appreciated. :D

William

Excellent shot William. The light is great and I would have guessed it's natural light if you hadn't told us!

I think this is the best of the serie, William!

Beautiful colors, excellent dof.
Perfect bg and bokeh.

Hi Steve

It won't show for me either... argh... imageschack.... grrr
Seriously, I thought they done a better job lately, but well this wasn't good at all and both images at the same time as well.
You have seen these subjects before, so perhaps no big harm done

Anyway many thanks for trying so many times to see this ;)

Hi Steve. No I haven't tried imagehost and many thanks for the tip. I'm going to look into it and I know its much better than imageschack, but to be honest I had a problem viewing one of your images recently (I think it may have been available, but timed out) and often it loads slower than most images, but then again I don't always have the best connection. Maybe it's not even noticeable on a faster connection? Or it might load slower because I'm in Sweden and there might be a bottle neck on the way? So it may be just me? However obviously its better that its slow to load, than to not work at all!!!

I was very pleased with Photobucket when I was using them, but I found it a bit much when they changed their terms of service to reserve the right to sell images hosted by them as prints
So well I'm going to look very carefully on any terms before switching again
