A really fabulous image sh73. The butterfly is truly beautiful and it's a fantastic lichen covered perch to. Also the composition and lighting is sublime. Today I have been overwhelmed with some of these incredible insects and images being posted.

Great photo of a strange looking butterfly - I notice from other shots on the web its wings are semi transparent.

A beautiful little butterfly, but very 'moth-like' with it's extremely hairy abdomen. . . :?
Love the diagonal aspect of the 'perch' and the lichen covering is particularly beautiful.
Excellent effort.

Congratulations sh73! This photo has been chosen as "Macro & Flora" Photo of the week !
respirándonos, miramos la campiña que adormece el sol,
los valles y los bosques y la humilde flor,
las islas navegando por la soledad...
