If this is the first, I cant wait to see more! Really amazing picture of that chilly macro type of subjects that once again makes at least me very happy I'm more than a few feet tall =)

Is this grecko-roman or judo. what ever it is, winning point for the spider :)

Very impressive shot. Considering your setup this quality is amazing. My only comment is on lighting. It looks quite unnatural like a biology lab photo, so sterile. It doesn't disturb too much because the amazing portrait takes all the attention again and again but still if you let your eyes free, you notice that the light quality is a little bit disturbing. Or in other words it is not my taste.

Good work.

Greetings...

Hi VCFM and a big welcome to the forum :)
A great first post. Overall an excellent capture. The light works well for my tastes, the comp and action are wonderful and my only suggestion would be for a bit more depth of field for the prey's eye, but that is very difficult to have from this angle.
Regards,
William

Congratulations VCFM! This photo has been chosen as "Macro & Flora" Photo of the week !
respirándonos, miramos la campiña que adormece el sol,
los valles y los bosques y la humilde flor,
las islas navegando por la soledad...
