i was wondering, but you've been hiding smart in the shade at that tree :-) nice shot and really surprised to see at this time of year.

an interesting new twist to normal bluebell pics Steve, and actually nice to see some managed woodland....though I must admit that I am someone who is usually just staggered by the solid block of colour you usually get out in the open. We used to have wood with bluebells that really glowed in late sun, but the sheep or something got them a few years back and not seen them since...maybe next year

Wonderful photo! Steve.

Beautiful light and composition. Excellent colors and amazing details. The tree shadows add depth.
My only nit is the stick at rightside on the grasses.

Great work!

Hi Steve

Its great to see a landscape from you, and I must say it is a cracker! You have made fantastic use of the light/shadow play to enhance an already strong comp. The colours are great! But what really strikes me, is how well you have handled the exposure of the whole scene aswell as the BG highlights, not easy shooting in woodland!!! A really big WELL DONE from me! :)

Although you did a very good job hiding your shaddow, you could have used he selftimer in stead of the cable release to step out of the scene completely.

Anyway, as noticed by the others, this is a great shot with very good control of the light. Thanks for sharing.

Top marks from me Mr Mackay!
I love the long shadows and the details the light is also very well managed.
I think ive seen this on another site?
Are you having problems with the new wideangle lens?
Cheers,
Regards,
Paul.

Love this one Steve, it makes it look as if they are cultivated (like the lavender fields in Norfolk) which in turn makes it different.
