My second visit here. First visit was clear skies and way too low tide where the "bowling balls" were completely dry, so no photos taken. :( Came here this time hoping for water to be mid-level on the rocks for some long exposure stuff. It was mid-level but not when the light was good. But I'll settle for this. :D C&C welcome.

This is at Bowling Ball Beach in Northern Californa coast.

Great photo. I like it how the light shines on the line of rocks in the background.

Wow what a great find on the rock. Really nice composition and colours. If I had to think of something Id change, maybe the stick/seaweed behind the rock is a little distracting but its a minor thing in what is a great image, well done.

Awesome landscape! I'll agree with tom about the minor nit of the stick/seaweed, but love the starfish on the rock and the great sky too.

Thanks everyone. The "stick" is some type of kelp and it had taken root there so I could not move it without destroying it and I did not want to do that.

In my opinion if you leave the piece of wood and the white thing on the left is a masterpiece!
Congratulation, great light and composition.

Congratulations jtangen! This photo has been chosen as "Landscapes" Photo of the week !
respirándonos, miramos la campiña que adormece el sol,
los valles y los bosques y la humilde flor,
las islas navegando por la soledad...
