LWP - 300 f2.8+ 2 x TC, I guess they were about 60-70m away. Later another bear was so close to the boat I could only get its head in with a 300mm. It was taken from an icebreaker ship (Polar Star). If any goes I would recommend this ship for two reasons, 1. It is an icebreaker - we would not have seen the bears we did if we had not been on this, some of the ships up there are not. Second, it is a former Swedish navy ship and its relatively low at the back allowing you to get down as close to the ice as practical. (not that many people did this most preferred to be up high and look down)
