Image

Shooting data: Canon Eos 40d + Canon EF 4/300 L IS USM 1/2000 f:4 ISO 640

The weather was unusually wet and cold in May 2010 in Hungary therefore the Rollers were very late, the breeding season started at the beginning of June.

Thanks for the comments!

Szia Fitisz,

Nice pose, colors and BG and a fantastic bird. I would try to pull some more detail out from the underwing part. How long is the breading season? I will be in Hungary in the beginning of July.

Yes, a great image. I came to Hungary in march for white-tailed eagle; In my opinion the special glass decreases image quality. A bit maybe but it does this.

Great shot. You may sharpen the image a little. I suggest to use f/5.6 or f/6.3 next time.

Congratulations fitisz! This photo has been chosen as "Birds and Wildlife" Photo of the week !
respirándonos, miramos la campiña que adormece el sol,
los valles y los bosques y la humilde flor,
las islas navegando por la soledad...
